What’s included?
We want you to feel completely looked after so you can focus on your sewing. This is a retreat in the truest sense of the word - we know how a busy life can keep us from our sewing machines - so leave the laundry behind, and spend the weekend with us. Focus completely on your sewing, and we will take care of the rest.
Accomodation
Overnight accommodation in the room of your choice for the nights of Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November, bed linen and towels are also included.
If you need to wash anything there is a washing machine and space to dry, on site.
Food
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is all provided for the Saturday and Sunday, along with tea, coffee, soft drinks and home made cakes for elevenses and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea and the evening meal on Friday 3rd and breakfast and elevenses on Monday the 6th is also included.
If you would like to drink alcohol, please bring your own. There is a shop in the village where supplies can be purchased.
Equipment
We will provide spaces for cutting and sewing. Cutting mats, an overlocker/serger (or two) and spares of threads, pins etc in case anything gets forgotten! Irons and ironing boards will also be available.
All you need to do is bring your machine, your favourite sewing tools, and the project or projects you want to work on!
We are also going to stock the sitting room with lovely sewing books for you to browse through and learn from - so you can sit with a cuppa and lose yourself if you need to give yourself a break from stitching!
Events
We will arrange a guest speaker for the Saturday evening (this is optional - you can carry on sewing into the night if you’d like to!) and there will be a masterclass or workshop with Annie on Sunday morning, which is also optional (but you might enjoy it!)
We will ask you what you’d like once you’ve booked on, and put it to the vote. As Sunday evening is bonfire night we thought it would be nice to have some sparklers and a festive drink in the garden! This is the only evening that some alcohol will be provided.
Tutors
Both Annie and Jackie will be around all weekend to support you through your sewing - so if you have always wanted to sew a jacket or coat or something else that feels slightly beyond your comfort zone, please feel free to bring it and make the most of us! We are also on hand to advise about fit too. This is your time to sew and we want you to get what you want to get out of it.
Goody Bag
A complimentary bundle of sewing treats to thank you for joining us!
