SEWING IS SELF CARE

Pdf Photo-guide & video tutorials for our Mindful Stitch Kits
Congratulations on your Stitch Kit Purchase!

You have taken a positive step towards carving out a little bit of time for yourself, taking some moments to recharge your batteries, and bring some slow sewing joy into your life!

Sewing really is self care....

Below you will find videos grouped into sections, and right down below you will see the downloadable photo guides.  Have a look at both and if you need any support or assistance, reach out to us via email or messenger or through our fabulous Facebook Group Stitch Sewcial!

Getting Started

These videos talk you through all the little bits of prep you'll need to do before you start embroidering!

The contents of a kit, and an explanation of what all the bits are for.
Before you start embroidering you need to take a few steps to prepare for finishing (ahead of the game I know!)

This video will also talk you through how to stretch your canvas in the hoop.
A vital bit of instruction for you to show you how to split your embroidery floss into thinner skeins which makes it go further and gives you options for finer more detailed work!
No, you don't just start with a knot! You never do!
Here is how you start and finish your stitches for long lasting, neat embroidery work.

Learning the stitches

Our Stitch Kits use just 4 main stitches: Satin, Stem, Back and French knits.
Each of these videos demonstrates each stitch step by step and brings to life the instructions in the photo guide.

KITS: Step by step

If you have the Habby Heart kit, this video explains where and how to use the stitches and demonstrates the technique on the needle.

Once you have finished your design, you will need to finish the hoop neatly ready to gift or display!

This video shows you how to use the cardboard disc you cut out in the Preparing your Hoop video, to finish your work ready to show the world!
