How does it work?

The course is run in a closed Facebook group, with both recorded videos and regular weekly group video calls for anyone who has questions about the teaching that week.
Participants share work, support each other and ask questions and support is offered speedily by tutor Annie who checks in with the group throughout the week. Each session introduces a series of skills for that week. These are consolidated into a project - practical, useful and good enough to give to friends and family! |
.Week 1: Get to know your machine - threading, tension and more, sewing in a straight line - make a pincushion
Week 2: Sewing curves - make a padded heart decoration Week 3: Seaming and edging techniques - make a french seamed cushion cover Week 4: Applique and bias binding - make your own bunting Week 5: Inserting a lining into a 3D Object - make a mug cosy Participant numbers are limited so everyone gets proper support, and it only runs a handful of times per year. The next course begins on the 21st January 2021. |

I trained as a costume designer at Central St Martins and London College of Fashion, and I began teaching 6 years ago after the birth of my first daughter.
