COURSE 2: Sunday 26 July 13:30 - 17:30 COURSE 3: Wednesday 4 November 13:30 - 17:30 Learn the basic components of making a curtain including applying header tape, hemming, lining and hand finishing as well as all you need to know be able to measure up and calculate fabric requirements for yourself at home. You’ll go home with a small pleated and lined curtain. All materials are provided.

CUSHION MAKINGSaturday 25 July 10:00 - 16:00
Sunday 6 December 13:30 - 19:00 In this Cushion Making Workshop learn how to make a 45 x 45cm piped cushion cover with zip closure, including a duck feather insert. You will be shown how to pattern match, cut and join bias binding for piping and how to sew a zipper.
We will supply all equipment needed for this class. You will just be required to bring your own choice of fabric, matching thread and 35cm zipper to match and bring a zipper foot. If you would like a plain cover you simply require 1 metre of fabric . If you prefer to make a contrasting front and back cover you will need to bring 50cm for the front, 50cm for the back and 50cm for your piping.

MENDING AND ALTERATIONSCOURSE 1: Weds 22 January 19:00 - 22:00
COURSE 2: Weds 23 September 19:00 - 22:00 COURSE 3: Weds 11 November 19:00 - 22:00 Want to make your clothes last as long as possible? Do you regularly need to take things up / in in order to make them fit better?
You will be taught a range of skills to help you get the most of your worn out garments including patching, hemming and taking in. Bring a garment you would like to mend / alter and we will look at these together in order to learn which approach is best.

COURSE 2: Wednesday 13 May 19:30 - 22:00 COURSE 3: Sunday 1 November 14:00 - 17:00 Making fabric choices and buying material can be overwhelming even for the most experienced of sewists. This workshop is designed to take the confusion out it completely. By the end of the evening you will understand your denims from your doupion, why satin can be silk / acetate / polyester and more and what to look out for when buying for a specific pattern, either online or in a store.

Have you been inspired by sewists on the Sewing Bee cutting their own patterns? Come and spend a day. With us learning the basics of this couture technique for creating bespoke made to measure patterns.
You will drape and cut a bodice block, stitch a toile, under take a fitting, and then make adjustments to your pattern.

Come and get your Christmas vibe on with a glass of mulled wine and some like minded crafters. Considering I had never used a sewing machine in my life before starting Annie’s beginners class I am amazed and proud of my achievements in 6 weeks.
